Sophie’s musical language is unique, but manages to encompass a number of styles, contemporary classical music, music for theatre and film, jazz and popular song. She has a particular interest in composing for the voice and she has written numerous songs and choral works. Sophie has a special affection for theatre and her works are especially suited to stage.  Incidental music and songs for stage include music for The Wild Things, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Aristophanes’ The Wasps (Watford Palace Theatre), All’s Well That Ends Well (Barbican Studio Theatre) and Much Ado About Nothing. She has also composed and written numerous musicals for children, which have been performed in London over the past six years.

A keen promoter and collaborator of music at ‘grass-roots level’, Sophie hopes to impart through whatever musical activity she is engaged in, a love of music, regardless of age or ability.
